Free Webinar: Course Embedded Social-Emotional Learning
Maximize student support with authentic interaction

Description
When social-emotional learning (SEL) is embedded in an online course, it is often assumed that’s enough — that the issue has been addressed. Course-embedded SEL strategies are not enough. It takes active training and a special skill set for online educators to know what "just-in-time" supports are needed for students.
Learn how Virtual Arkansas has taken the course-embedded elements of SEL and brought them full circle by leveraging all forms of course communication, along with the learner-centric approach of its teachers, to maximize student support and build capacity in students. During the webinar, participants will:
- Discover ways to support educators as they move beyond course-embedded SEL strategies to authentic interactive approaches
- Examine systematic steps to interact, invest and maximize all options of connection/communication to support and build capacity in students
- Determine how SEL corresponds to QM Standards
In this free webinar from Quality Matters, learn more about how you can prioritize SEL in your courses.
The webinar will be live captioned.
NOTE: You must have a QM account affiliated with UMBC to register.
